Bidding for energy storage tenders is extremely lucrative for companies of all sizes. Tendering authorities and private companies release thousands of contracts worth millions for procurement of energy storage. Global Tenders stands out as the largest platform dedicated to tenders and government contracts.
The solicitation meets the requirements of a 2022 New York State Public Service Commission order requiring Con Edison to procure 300 MW and O&R to procure at least 10 MW of energy storage by 2030, the utilities said. The joint solicitation moves New York closer to meeting its goal of deploying 6 GW of energy storage by 2030.
