TOKYO, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Japan's second-biggest city gas provider, Osaka Gas (9532.T), said on Monday it started commercial operations of the No.1 unit at its new 1.25-gigawatt gas-fired power station in Himeji, western Japan, on January 1.
Once both units are online, Osaka Gas' domestic thermal power generation capacity will rise to about 3.2 GW from roughly 2 GW.
